Upholding a tradition of professional and personalized service since 1945
Groupe Boutin Inc. was founded in 1945 when Valère Boutin acquired a seven-unit fleet from Richard Transport, a Plessisville-based company in central Quebec.
In the years that followed, V. Boutin Express Inc., a subsidiary of Groupe Boutin, continued to grow with the purchase of additional trucking permits and several small companies.
In 1964, Léo-Paul Boutin and his wife Lucille took over the reins of the company.
The company continued to expand until 1983, when current president Bernard Boutin joined the family business. At the time, Groupe Boutin had 73 employees and a fleet of 98 units.
With the aim of better serving its customers, the company continued to acquire companies and modernize its fleet and facilities. After extensive operational restructuring, the company hired additional managers with solid expertise in the trucking industry.
Today, Boutin has more than 390 employees and a fleet of over 630 units. We operate our terminals, warehouses and offices across Québec and Ontario. The head office remains in Plessisville.
Now well into its journey, Boutin has carved out a position as one of the leading trucking companies in Quebec.
